(Note : Bracket Numbers align with the top seed in that division... not with the Diamonds the games are played on...
i.e. Ruder Group is the #3 seed, so they're in Bracket 3, but they, and all the teams within their Bracket,
play all their Tournament games on Diamond 1)

< Tournament Play >

An even 4 Brackets with 4 teams in each
. The Brackets are seeded from the regular season
final standings with the table (above) representing the final Tournament Brackets.
Each team will play every other team in their Bracket once, representing (3) guaranteed games.

Tournament games will be (6)-innings. No extra-innings, ties are allowed.
Every effort should be made to complete these games in (1) hour
.

< The HORN >

The horn will blow at 5 minutes to the hour (i.e. 8:55, 9:55, etc.)

The horn will be handled a little differently on Tournament Day and
this is IMPORTANT, so make sure you're in understanding of the way this reads...

(a) If the horn blows and it is currently the TOP half of the inning, that inning will be the last inning played.

(b) If the horn blows and it is currently the BOTTOM half of the inning, (1) more inning
will be allowed
assuming that it is already not the 6th inning (last inning of the game).

If the horn blows and the game is already in the 6th inning, that will be the last inning of the game regardless
of what half of the inning it is.

< Official Scorekeeping >

The Master ScoreBoard for the Tournament will be located adjacent to the green bathroom shack on the
North end of Upper Hutchinson...

The final score of each game must be reported here directly after the conclusion of each game by each team's Captain.
Both Captains will initial each score. If only one Captain reports and initials...
that's the score that's official, No Exceptions.

For those who have to walk over from Diamonds 2 & 3... sorry, that's the way the chips fell,
maybe you can bring a bike out.

IMPORTANT : I (Nic) must be the one that writes the score down on the Master Board... If I am busy still playing a
game or otherwise involved, you'll need to wait... it won't take that long...This is to ensure the integrity of the board.

< Guarantees >

Each team will have 3 games and 3 byes... plenty of time for bbq'ing and beer. Captains are responsible for
knowing their teams schedule and having their teams ready to go at gametime.

The top (4) seeds after the regular season are guaranteed a 9am bye.
The top (8) seeds after the regular season are guaranteed (2) home-games and (1) away-game within tournament play.

< Tie-Breakers >

At the conclusion of Tournament play (3pm)... each Bracket will send its best team to the Final Four.
Bracket winners will be determined first by Record, then by Head-to-Head within the Bracket, then by
Least Runs Allowed
, then by Most Runs Scored and finally, by Seed.

to cover safe/out calls on the bases and fair/foul calls down the lines.
The umpire's calls will be final - no excessive arguments.
